Drowning in your own sorrow yet spared of these tears, it’s worse than you could’ve imagined this pain you’ve feared. Breathless and gasping for air with no hope of being saved, wishing you had it all from this life you’ve paved. Finding ways to mask the pain with a facade of lies, through it all wanting to be heard behind these silent cries. Forget the pity, you’re fine you don’t want sympathy, but with carrying such a load you could use a little empathy. Trying to be brave, strong, and keep on going, yet as you feared you’re drowning with no one knowing. These words are a mere way of expressing what cannot be spoken, getting them out helps assure me that I am not broken.
